Android Free Apps: 12 Paid Apps Turned Free, Watch Faces, Utilities & Games

This round, twelve Android apps that were previously paid have switched to free. The lineup is quite diverse, spanning an app that turns your phone into a wireless PC remote, four paid watch faces, everyday utilities like a flashlight, a bubble level and a music player, and even games including a subway simulator and a sudoku magazine.

Whether an app shows up as free can differ from country to country. For this batch I mostly checked with an EU account, and the very first app (the PC remote) was free everywhere in the world. The appeal is that if you grab an app while it is free, you keep it and can keep using it even if it later goes back to paid.
